Privacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026
Nubi is an iPhone app that shows the weather for the trips you schedule and sends a morning briefing and updates before them. This page says what Nubi keeps, why, who helps run it, and how to delete it. In short: we keep what the app needs to work, we never sell it, and there are no ads, no tracking and no analytics.
What Nubi keeps
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an identifier for you and an email address. If you chose Hide My Email, it's a relay address Apple forwards to you. We don't receive your name or your Apple password.
- Your trips and places. Trip names, kinds and schedules; the places you save, with their names, coordinates, time zone and country; the points along a route where weather is checked; days you skip or move; and your notification settings.
- Your iPhone, for notifications. Apple's push token for the app, the iPhone's language and region, and the temperature unit, so notifications reach you and read the way your iPhone does.
- Your subscription. Whether you have a trial or subscription, its plan and when it renews or ends. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card.
- Feedback you send. Your message, its topic and whether we may reply. If you choose to attach them, also the app version, iPhone model, iOS version and language. Replies go to your account's email.
Your location
Nubi asks for your location only while you use it, and only roughly (to about a kilometre). It's used to show the weather where you are and to add where you are as a place. To get that weather, the coordinates are sent to our server and on to Apple Weather. They aren't saved with your account; the forecast for that area is kept on our server for up to a day so it isn't fetched again, without anything that links it to you. A place you add from your location is saved like any other place. Nubi works without location: you can search for places instead.
What Nubi doesn't do
- No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- We don't sell or share your data for advertising.
- Our server logs record that a request happened and how it went, never your email, places, coordinates or what you wrote.
Who helps run Nubi
These companies process data only to provide their part of the service:
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, the App Store and subscriptions, push notifications, and weather (Apple Weather receives the coordinates of the places it forecasts).
- Cloudflare: hosts our server and its database.
- RevenueCat: keeps track of subscriptions. It receives your Nubi account identifier, your App Store purchase records and basic details of the app and iOS version.
How long it's kept
Your account and everything in it are kept until you delete the account. A sign-in on an iPhone lasts up to 180 days. Records of sent notifications are removed after a week. Backups of the database roll over within 30 days.
Deleting your data
In Nubi, open Settings and tap Delete Account. That deletes your account, trips, places, settings, feedback and notification records from our server at once. It doesn't cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions. You can also write to us to ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted.
Children
Nubi isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date.
